To create an Assetto Corsa EVO server, we use the Server Manager to configure a race preset and register it to the public lobby. Once you are in your hosting panel, follow these steps:

  1. Create a Race Preset:

    • Navigate to the Custom Races section and click on New Race. This allows you to save track and car combinations.
  2. Server Configuration:

    • Set the Server Name and Max Players (e.g., 15).
    • Add passwords for Admin, Driver, or Spectators if you want a private session.
  3. Event Settings:

    • Select the Session Type (Practice or Race Weekend).
    • Set the Weather (Clear) and Track Grip (Optimum).
  4. Choose Track:

    • Select your track and layout from the list.
  5. Select Cars:

    • Click on the cars in the left column to move them to the right column. The left square show all the cars available in the game
  6. Set Timings:

    • Enter the duration for Practice, Qualify, and Race. Note: these values are currently entered in seconds.
    • For the Race session, you can toggle the setting to use Laps instead of time.
  7. Start Server:

    • Give the preset an internal session name, click Save and Exit, and then click Start.
    • Scroll to the bottom of the logs to confirm you see "Success: True" and "Registered to the lobby."
  8. Download Results:

    • After the race, go to the Results area to download the JSON file if you need to upload data to you favourite platform.
Times are set in seconds!

All session times are set in seconds. Do not use very short values like 10, 15, or 30 seconds.

If the time is too short, the server will finish the session before players can finish loading. This results in the server blocking access to the track.
